ZooNotes is peer-reviewed, open access, electronic journal in which scientific articles and reports are quickly published by Bulgarian researchers or papers of foreign authors concerning the Bulgarian fauna. The papers are in the fields of taxonomy, faunistics, zoogeography and animal ecology (for example: new species to the faunas of particular areas/countries, newly registered localities of rare and threatened species and others). The papers are published in Bulgarian language with an extensive and informative Abstract in English, or in English. The journal is fee-free for the contributing authors. Bibliographies, check-lists and catalogs could also be published after approval of the Editorial board as Supplements.
